Can a chiropractor offer GLP-1 weight care?
Your clinic can offer a weight care program under its brand, but you don't prescribe. Chiropractic scope of practice generally doesn't include prescribing medication. In this model, independent licensed providers in the Sylaris OS network evaluate each patient and prescribe only if appropriate, and licensed pharmacies dispense. Check your state's rules on how you refer to and promote the program.
Who prescribes, and who is responsible for the clinical care?
Independent licensed providers, licensed in the state where the patient is located. They review the intake, follow up as needed, decide whether treatment is appropriate and manage the prescription. Your team supports the patient with education, coaching and in-clinic visits.
Is this billed to insurance or cash-pay?
Online programs are self-pay. Patients pay through your site's HIPAA-compliant checkout, with subscriptions and refills built in, so there are no claims or prior authorizations to manage. How you bill for in-clinic services doesn't change.
Can I offer in-clinic and online care together?
Yes. That's what the Halcyon template is designed for: "Book in clinic" and "Start online visit" live side by side, so a patient can be adjusted in your office and enrolled in an online program in the same week.
Do I need to hire a nurse practitioner or medical director?
Not for the online programs. Consults and prescribing are handled by licensed providers in the Sylaris OS network, and pharmacy fulfillment is already connected. If you also deliver medical services in your clinic, those remain subject to your state's rules.
Are there rules about referral fees or revenue sharing?
Yes, and they vary by state and profession. Rules on referral arrangements, fee-splitting, advertising and the corporate practice of medicine can all apply. Review how you'll structure and promote the program with a healthcare attorney or your state board before launch. This isn't legal advice.
Can I sell supplements under my clinic's name?
Yes. White-labeled over-the-counter supplements can be sold under your brand alongside your programs, with fulfillment and shipping handled through Sylaris OS.
How is patient information protected?
Intake, checkout, records and the patient portal run on Sylaris OS, which is built for HIPAA compliance. The website editor never stores patient health information.
